The design of MACA CAFÉ is inspired by the Casa del Sole Chair by Casa Murillo, a piece that celebrates solar geometry and the warmth of wood. This reference is translated into the interior through a spatial language of organic curves, radial structures, and natural textures, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and immersive.
Wood becomes the protagonist material, evoking craftsmanship and a connection to nature. The continuous forms shaping the ceiling and furniture echo the chair’s iconic silhouette, while also guiding visitors through a fluid spatial journey. Integrated lighting accentuates the interplay of light and shadow, recreating the vitality of the sun within the interior.

The Azalea Community Center is a design that draws from the world of fashion and the sculptural qualities of light. The inspiration comes from diagrams that emphasize movement, curves, and void, concepts often found both in clothing design and in architectural form.
The lighting elements suspend fluidly from the ceiling, echoing the sweep of fabric as it drapes and folds. Their continuous curves represent the flow of community life dynamic, ever-changing, and interwoven. At the same time, the intentional voids created by these forms celebrate negative space: pauses in the rhythm that allow balance, breathing room, and reflection.
